# Behind the Counter: My Day at Cultivate – Spring Mountain

As the sun rises over the Las Vegas Valley, my day at Cultivate – Spring Mountain begins. Working at one of the premier cannabis dispensaries in the area brings a unique rhythm to each shift, filled with interesting customer interactions and continuous learning opportunities.

## 6:30 AM: Pre-Opening Preparations

I arrive early to help prepare the dispensary for the day ahead. There’s something peaceful about being in the store before it opens – organizing displays, checking inventory, and reviewing new products that arrived the previous evening. Our team meeting begins at 7:15, where we discuss daily promotions and any special products we want to highlight.

## 8:00 AM: Doors Open

The morning customers tend to be a mix of locals on their way to work and early-rising tourists. Many are regulars who know exactly what they want, making these interactions quick but always friendly. Others are visiting a recreational dispensary for the first time and need more guidance.

## 10:30 AM: Education Time

One of my favorite aspects of working at Cultivate is educating customers about cannabis products. Today, I spent almost twenty minutes with a gentleman new to cannabis who was looking for something to help with sleep issues. Being able to discuss different strains, consumption methods, and dosing guidelines makes this job rewarding.

## Noon: Lunch Break

The dispensary gets busy around lunchtime as people stop in during their breaks. I take my lunch a bit later to help with the rush. When I do step away, I often head to the break room where we sometimes discuss new products or share customer feedback with each other.

## 2:00 PM: Inventory Management

Afternoons typically involve some behind-the-scenes work. Today I’m helping update our inventory system and preparing for a new product launch coming next week. Working at a marijuana dispensary involves much more than just customer service – there’s compliance training, product knowledge, and careful attention to inventory details.

## 4:00 PM: The Evening Rush

As the workday ends for many, our pace picks up again. Evening customers are often looking to unwind after work, and the vibe is noticeably different from our morning crowd. There’s more browsing, more questions, and generally a more relaxed atmosphere.

## 7:00 PM: Closing Tasks

As we approach closing time, we begin final tasks for the day – counting inventory, cleaning display cases, and making sure everything is properly documented and secured. The meticulous nature of working in a weed dispensary means our closing procedures are thorough and precise.

## 9:00 PM: Reflection on the Day

As I drive home across Spring Valley, I reflect on the day’s interactions. From helping first-time visitors to chatting with our regulars, each day brings new experiences. The cannabis industry continues to evolve, and working at Cultivate means constantly learning and adapting.

What makes this job special isn’t just the products we sell, but the community we’ve built. Whether serving customers from North Las Vegas, Paradise, or tourists from across the globe, each interaction is an opportunity to educate and destigmatize.

Tomorrow will bring its own unique experiences, and that’s exactly why I enjoy being part of the Cultivate team.
